My Philosophy I define "spirit" as the energy that makes us unique and human. Therefore, spiritual lving is the act of embracing life in a way that gives honor to both our individuality and the humanity that we all share. Spiritual living may or may not be affiliated with religion. Rather, it is a practice of dawning awareness. This awareness occurs at many levels, but it begins and ends with one's self. My Practice I've always been fascinated by humanity and have felt compelled to help people live more fulfilling lives. On one hand, my call to serve is met by my consistent efforts as an activisit, educator, and writer. However, I'm always searching for new ways to connect with the global community and the universe we share. Therefore, I'm also certifed as a minister of spiritual living by the Universal Life Church an as a Reiki practitioner by Healing Today because these certifications allow me to legally provide spiritual counseling, perform energy healing, and officiate ceremonies like weddings. In March 2010, I took a major step toward expanding my spiritual practice by starting the website www.TrustingUniverse.com, through which my friend and colleague Brice and I offer our unique brand of spiritual counseling, inspirational speeches, officiation services, and a unique gift shop. The spiritual counseling that I offer is based largely on my ability to read oracle cards and on Brice's work as a medium.
